May is traditionally the best month for viewing wildflowers along the Blue Ridge. See a complete spring wildflower report at http://www.virtualblueridge.com/news-and-events/news-374.asp

I have saw some wild flowers on the parkway roadside ,they’re orange/red bloom on a tree.My mom said they were honeysuckles.I saw one at the cascades rest area on the parkway. Can any one please tell me what they are.

Hi James,

If they smelled really sweet and you saw them recently, then yes, it probably was honeysuckle as they’re blooming heavy right now. Is this what it looked like?
